Chief Details Shifting Special Ops Emphasis; Progress on Preventing Civilian Casualties

U.S. special operators are shifting their focus to support the National Defense Strategy to “fill the gaps” of conventional forces as the world faces new challenges and threats, the assistant secretary of defense for special operations and low intensity conflict said.
