The Defense Department is now working to upgrade veterans’ discharges that were less than honorable as a result of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks said.
The DOD announced the award of nearly $240 million dollars to eight regional innovation hubs that will spur the development of the domestic microelectronics manufacturing industry.
In an effort to reach out to veterans who may have been impacted by the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that was effective, Feb. 28, 1994 to Sept. 20, 2011, the Defense Department is providing resources that will feature useful information.
